My
Cross Country Race
On Tuesday there was a Cross Country Race at school.
First we had to line up at the starting line. I was feeling nervous.
Next Miss Moston said ready, steady go!! I was not in the lead at first but I
caught up!
And then there was my second lap. I kept trying really hard and started
overtaking some of my friends. I was nearly there at the finish line. I was
puffing and panting. My heart was beating very very fast!
Finally I came to the finish line and I came first in Room 7. I was
slowing down and I was sweating!
Mrs Robertson and Miss Moston handed out the certificates. Mrs Robertson
gave a certificate to me and Sofia and Escada. I came first and Sofia came
second and Escada came third. I was overjoyed!!! My feet hurt because I
sprinted like a rocket. I felt happy because I tried my best. I was very tired
that day after the race!
